Position Summary:

Responsible for providing quick and efficient responsible service to our guests and servers.

Responsibilities & Qualifications:

  • Greet customers and present menus make recommendations and answer all related inquiries;
  • Check identification of customers to verify they are of legal drinking age.
  • Take orders from serving staff or directly from customers, record drink orders accurately into register system.
  • Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks in accordance with standard recipes, peel, slice and pit fruit for garnishing drinks.
  • Serve food to customers seated at the bar, respond promptly to requests from customers in a polite and professional fashion.
  • Attempt to limit problems related to customers’ excessive drinking by following established procedures, process transactions using the POS system.
  • Process customer payments, arrange glasses and bottles into attractive and functional displays; Ensure clean glasses, bar equipment and working areas, comply with all health, safety and hygiene standards and policies.
  • Balance the cash register at the start and close of each shift, order and restock bar inventory.
  • Full time availability is a must, customer service orientation, communication skills, interpersonal skills, team player, and high energy level, handle a fast-paced work environment, reliability, honesty and integrity.
  • Working knowledge of standard drink recipes, working knowledge of bar equipment and cash-handling skills
  • Able to work flexible schedules including weekends and holidays
  • Perform any other task that is assigned for the successful operations of the company.
  • High School Diploma, minimum age requirement of 21 years to pour drinks.

Physical Demands:

Must be able to speak clearly and listen attentively to customers supervisors, and employees; stand and walk for periods over 8 hours; lift up to 30 pounds in weight; possess finger dexterity to use small tools adeptly; read and follow written instructions; Ability to do repetitive motions.

Position Summary:

We are looking for professional Servers for Bon Appetit who are passionate about creating authentic, custom experiences with a high level of attention and service excellence to our guests. Our best servers have a sense of entrepreneurship to maximize their potential income at Dunedin’s finest waterfront restaurant with indoor and outdoor dining!

Responsibilities & Qualifications:

  • Greet guests with eye contact and a smile.
  • Know our menu and how food is prepared to make appropriate recommendations.
  • Entice guests to order appetizers, featured items and weekly specials.
  • Check timing of food orders and communicate any errors or delays to appropriate staff.
  • Deliver food promptly and correctly by guest choice.
  • Consistently monitor assigned guest tables for food quality and guest needs.
  • Practice “Acknowledge, Apologize, Act” relating to any guest complaints.

  • Minimum of one year of server experience in a high volume fine dining restaurant.
  • Positive attitude with interpersonal skills to interact and enhance the guest experience.
  • Must be able to stand and work in a fast-paced environment for periods of over eight (8) hours in length.
  • Strong verbal and attentive listening skills.
  • Flexible and dependable to work full-time, weekends and holidays, indoors and outdoors.
  • Experience with POSitouch handheld system is a plus.

Summary:

Cafe Alfresco is looking for a professional Lead Cook who is enthusiastic about using their culinary skills to make unique cuisine and sharing it with our guests. The ideal candidate will also employ their managerial skills to manage the kitchen staff in the procurement, production, preparation, and presentation of food. The Lead is a team leader in delivering a guest-centric dining experience at “Tampa Bay’s Best Waterfront Restaurant.”

Primary Duties:

  • Hire, train, supervise, and coach all kitchen and cleaning staff towards performance excellence.
  • Supervise and produce menu items that meet/exceed our quality standards and portion sizes, both in taste and in presentation.
  • Resourcefully solve any issues as they arise and take control of any problematic situation.
  • Manage and schedule the sanitation/maintenance of the kitchen equipment and related areas to ensure
    a safe and healthy work environment that meets/exceeds regulatory and ownership standards.
  • Assist Cafe Alfresco Manager in the creation, costing and implementation of new delicious seasonal/special menu items suitable for our fine dining reputation.
  • Monitor, analyze and control labor and food costs within budget while maintaining quality
    standards, using our ordering system.
  • Schedule working shifts to successfully meet the needs of our restaurant and banquet operations.
  • Take on the primary duties of the Cafe Alfresco Manager during absence.
  • Perform any other task as assigned for the successful operation of the back of the house.

Position: Line Cook

Summary:

Responsible for all grilled, broiled, roasted or fried items prepared in the kitchen. Portioning food items prior to cooking of what is on menu. Assist in banquet preparation and cooking. Cooks vegetables. Other duties include carving, plating and garnishing dishes. Assist in soup and sauce making. Responsible for maintaining a sanitary kitchen work station and food storage area.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Complies with quality standards, department rules, policies and procedures.
  • Identifies and select cuts of meat, poultry, shellfish, fish, game or vegetables used in preparation of menu items.
  • Prepares garnishes for broiled and roasted dishes.
  • Prepares other items needed at broiler station such as vegetables, starches, appetizers or desserts that may be glazed in broiler.
  • Sets up and maintain soups throughout the day, as well as appropriate garnishes.
  • Broil and plate meats, poultry, shellfish, fish, game or vegetables, along with appropriate garnish.
  • Roasts, carves and plates meats, poultry, shellfish, fish, game or vegetables.
  • Maintains a sanitary work environment including areas where food is prepared and stored.
  • Selects and uses knives, hand tools, utensils and equipment to cut, slice, broil, roast, carve, skewer, garnish foods. Maintains holding temperature for foods, grills, or otherwise produces food in the broiler station.
  • Assist in any other capacity required in the operation.
  • Tastes all food prepared to ensure flavor, texture and consistency and see that items meet established quality standards.
  • Must be available to work all shifts as scheduled.
  • Perform any other task that is assigned for the successful operations of the company.

Qualifications:

High School graduate (GED), degree from a post-secondary culinary arts training program is desirable. Minimum of 1 year in a food preparation position in a restaurant setting.

Physical Demands:

Must be able to speak clearly and listen attentively to guests, managers, employees, dining room staff ; stand and move about the kitchen for periods over 8 hours. Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds in weight. Must have good sense of smell, taste, site and touch to understand foods and presentation. possess finger dexterity to use small tools adeptly; read and follow written instructions; possess good smell and taste abilities and be able to do repetitive motions.
